Transcript of 63rd Session between Charles Balis, M.D. and Ms. Anna Green, Thursday, November 20, 1997 at 4:00 pm.

Ms. Green: Hello, Doctor.
Dr. Balis: Hello, Anna. Please come in.
Ms. Green: Thank you. Before you have another moment of uncertainty, the answer is yes. Okay?
Dr. Balis: Hmm?
Ms. Green: You know...
Dr. Balis: Are you talking about having sex with Kathy?
Ms. Green: What else?
Dr. Balis: I see. So you had sex with Kathy last week. How was it?
Ms. Green: Oh, god. I faked an orgasm...
Dr. Balis: And Kathy?
Ms. Green: I don't know. Hers might have been real, who knows?
Dr. Balis: Did Kathy have a good time?
Ms. Green: Why aren't you interested in whether I had a good time?
Dr. Balis: I am. Did you?
Ms. Green: It's not that simple.
Dr. Balis: All right. Why don't you tell me what happened, okay?
Ms. Green: Well, Martin left, and it was just Kathy and I for almost a whole week--just us all alone in the apartment, two girls...excuse me, women...
Dr. Balis: And what happened?
Ms. Green: Well, it started to get real weird even before Martin left. The tension was just unbelievable. I think even Martin knew that shit was going to hit the fan as soon as he left, and--this was almost comical--Martin just couldn't wait to get the hell out of town and out of the firing range.
Dr. Balis: I see. But now Martin's back.
Ms. Green: Yeah. He stayed away for an extra day. He said that he had more to do there, but I believe that he was just scared.
Dr. Balis: Scared to come back.
Ms. Green: I guess he had every reason to be.
Dr. Balis: When did he come back?
Ms. Green: Last night.
Dr. Balis: And?
Ms. Green: We have been on our best behavior so far.
Dr. Balis: You and Kathy?
Ms. Green: It won't last long; Thanksgiving is coming up.
Dr. Balis: Do you have plans for Thanksgiving?
Ms. Green: My parents are expecting Martin and I to show up for dinner.
Dr. Balis: And Kathy?
Ms. Green: They are not expecting Kathy.
Dr. Balis: I see.
Ms. Green: If you remember, Kathy is not exactly on my parents' invite list after what she's done.
Dr. Balis: Is Martin?
Ms. Green: We managed to convince my parents that Kathy was just having a hysterical nervous breakdown and was hoping to hurt me by telling them Martin is a sadist and that he's into sex with multiple partners and...just tons of crap. It took months for my parents to get comfortable with Martin again.
Dr. Balis: They know that the three of you are living together, right?
Ms. Green: Well, remember how that all got started? Basically, my parents think that Martin and I doing Kathy a favor by letting her be our roommate. We told them the story of decrepit conditions in which Kathy was living. And I even think that they thought we--that's Martin and I--are extremely generous and noble for helping a friend like that, especially after she tried to ruin our relationship the way she did. In fact, they think that Martin and I are being generous to a fault. I know that when we go over there for Thanksgiving, they will try to encourage us to move Kathy out. They really have hopes for Martin and me.
Dr. Balis: Your parents are hoping that you two will get married?
Ms. Green: My mother keeps hinting at it. I think she wants grandchildren. All her friends have some, and she's ready.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: Yeah, exactly. It's going to be ugly.
Dr. Balis: Let's get back to what happened after Martin left town.
Ms. Green: Okay. As I said, Kathy was already strange for about a week before Martin so conveniently exited the picture. But with Martin around, we managed to keep it more or less together. But as Martin's departure approached, Kathy was getting more and more agitated. She was all but hysterical on the way to the airport. She tried not to let Martin and I hug and kiss goodbye.
Dr. Balis: What do you mean?
Ms. Green: She just hung on both of us and wouldn't let us have any privacy. Finally, Martin managed to whisper in my ear that he loved me and boarded the plane. And then, it was just her and me.
Dr. Balis: How did you handle that?
Ms. Green: Oh, I said that I had to work overtime the whole week.
Dr. Balis: Did you?
Ms. Green: You mean, "Did I have to?" No. Did I? Yes.
Dr. Balis: So basically you ran away from the problem.
Ms. Green: That's one way of putting it.
Dr. Balis: And how would you put it?
Ms. Green: I tried to avoid the problem. But it's really a moot point, because Kathy didn't let me get away with it.
Dr. Balis: What did Kathy do?
Ms. Green: Well, the first night after Martin left, I managed to sleep in my office at SII. But in the morning, Kathy was there. She said that she was going to take me out for Sunday Brunch.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: I felt trapped. I didn't really have much to do, and I was too tired to come up with a good reason not to go with her.
Dr. Balis: How was brunch?
Ms. Green: It was strange.
Dr. Balis: Yes?
Ms. Green: I guess Kathy decided to make up with me. She took me to a lesbian hangout. This place was basically a bar, but it does Sunday Brunches in a little courtyard outside. It's sort of a green house with one of the walls made out of tent-like curtain--I guess they pull it down when it gets too cold. It was actually pretty sunny that day, if you remember. They had tons of orchids outside. It was lovely. But the waitresses were wearing leather outfits with whips attached to loose hip belts--"Conan the Barbarian" fashion.
Dr. Balis: Interesting place.
Ms. Green: Yes, very colorful. So we had eggs and some pastries served to us, and at the end of the meal, all the waitresses sort of grouped around our table. I looked at them, at Kathy, and everyone's smiling at me. Then they played the theme music from "Xena, the Warrior Princess." Have you heard of it?
Dr. Balis: Vaguely.
Ms. Green: It's a television show with two women characters playing hero Amazon parts. They dress completely in leather and fight with swords...
Dr. Balis: Okay.
Ms. Green: Kathy likes the show, and I've seen it with her a few times. It's not bad. So, here they all were smiling at me. And then Kathy handed me this giant present in a box. You would never believe what was inside, Doctor Balis.
Dr. Balis: What?
Ms. Green: It was a complete leather Xena outfit. Very cool. They made me go in the bathroom and put it on.
Dr. Balis: Did it fit?
Ms. Green: I'll bring you pictures, and you can form your own opinion, Doctor. When I came out, they all applauded and cheered. It was sort of embarrassing. Apparently, this bar does Xena Night every Sunday evening--they record the show during the week and play it on the giant TV in front of a very receptive audience. We--Kathy and I--were expected to come as guests of honor that night. I have no idea how Kathy managed to arrange that, not to mention that the outfit must have cost a fortune.
Dr. Balis: Sounds like Kathy was really trying.
Ms. Green: Yeah. She makes it very hard to stay mad at her. Needless to say, we went to this bar for dinner and stayed for the entire show. When we got home, Kathy made a big production of saying how she was very tired and needed to get to sleep right away. She was trying to make it clear that we weren't going to do anything that night. But the upshot was that I owed her now--not a good position to be in.
Dr. Balis: When was the pay off?
Ms. Green: The next night. When I came home from work, Kathy was already there. She was dressed as Xena's sidekick. Kathy's so little, it almost looked funny on her. But there she was expecting me to...
Dr. Balis: ...to say "I love you?"
Ms. Green: You remembered that? Yup, that's the upshot.
Dr. Balis: Did you?
Ms. Green: I basically had no choice, Doctor, did I?
Dr. Balis: You always have a choice, Anna, and you know it.
Ms. Green: Perhaps I do always have a choice. But exercising that choice can be a real bitch sometimes.
Dr. Balis: True. But you have a choice nonetheless.
Ms. Green: In any case, I got home, and there she was waiting for me. We had a salad together, and I took a bath. That took about two and a half hours.
Dr. Balis: Two and a half hours to eat a salad and take a bath?
Ms. Green: I was in no hurry to say I love you.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: You know, Doctor, it's getting awfully late. We should stop.
Dr. Balis: No, it's okay. You can go on, we could take a few extra minutes. My next appointment...never mind, you have time. Please continue.
Ms. Green: All right. After the bath, I put on my Xena costume. Kathy wanted me to tie her down to the side of the bed, but I refused. So she got on her hands and knees and licked me as I stood over her. Kathy is very good at that. She can always make me come in almost no time. But this time, she drew it out. At one point, I found myself pushing her face into my crotch.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: And then it was my turn.
Dr. Balis: You said that you faked your orgasm. How come?
Ms. Green: As long as I kept my mind away from the thought of reciprocating on Kathy, I was very turned on and into it. But every time I thought what I would be expected to do next, I just lost it. It really is all in the mind you know.
Dr. Balis: So why did you fake the orgasm?
Ms. Green: It got to be too much. I'd had enough, I guess. And I just wanted for the whole thing to be over with. So I ordered her to stop and tied her down to the bed like she wanted. At first, I just used my fingers and a dildo. And then, I braved it and plunged in.
Dr. Balis: How was it?
Ms. Green: I hated it. I don't like the smell and I don't like the taste. And Kathy is like a gushing fountain--there's a lot of it not to like.
Dr. Balis: Hmm. What did you do?
Ms. Green: I tried just licking the very tip of her clit, keeping my face as much out of it as possible. But then she struggled and moved, and I just got a whole...it was very icky! I almost threw up. I had to run to the bathroom and wash up and drink tons of water.
Dr. Balis: How did Kathy react?
Ms. Green: I just told her that I got a hair caught in my throat.
Dr. Balis: And she believed you?
Ms. Green: I guess. When I came out, she was moaning and groaning--she said that I turned her on so much she had an orgasm even without me being there. And that's the end.
Dr. Balis: I see. So does Kathy now believe that you're into saying "I love you?"
Ms. Green: I don't know what she believes. I said that I was tired and went to bed. She insisted that we sleep together. So I waited until she fell asleep and went into another room. I couldn't really sleep that night. I got up early the next morning and was in the office by six thirty. When I got there, I finally was able to get some sleep on the couch in the programmers' lounge area. I didn't come home until the day Martin came back.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: Kathy just assumed that I had to work late, just as I explained to her before. It's been a bit strange ever since.
Dr. Balis: What do you mean?
Ms. Green: I wanted Martin for myself at least for a little while. I guess I'm mad at Kathy for making me do all that. Martin knows that something's up, but he's not questioning. And now Thanksgiving is coming up. And frankly, I just don't really care how she feels. Well, that's all, Doctor Balis. That's my story, and I got to go home and catch the two of them fucking.
Dr. Balis: I thought that didn't really bother you.
Ms. Green: Fuck you, Doctor Balis. Sorry. See you in two weeks.
Dr. Balis: Take care, Anna.
