Transcript of Telephone Conversation between Charles Balis, M.D. and Ms. Anna Green, Thursday, November 19, 1997 at 6:30 pm.

Ms. Green: Doctor Balis?
Dr. Balis: Anna? You were supposed to be here an hour and a half ago?
Ms. Green: I know. I'm terribly sorry, Doctor. The time just slipped by, and I...
Dr. Balis: So you're not at some S&M nightclub or something?
Ms. Green: No. I just started working, and before I knew it, it was now. I don't get to work much, and I was enjoying it so much. Please, don't be too mad at me.
Dr. Balis: I'm glad you enjoy your work, Anna.
Ms. Green: Oh, good. Thank you. Now, can we have our session over the phone?
Dr. Balis: Actually, I was just planning to go home...
Ms. Green: Well, how about if we talk just for a few minutes?
Dr. Balis: All right. Is there something in particular you want to talk with me about?
Ms. Green: Hmm. Let me see...
Dr. Balis: What is it, Anna?
Ms. Green: Here, this is better. I had to switch phones--I'd rather just talk to you.
Dr. Balis: Do you have some privacy now?
Ms. Green: Yes, it's good.
Dr. Balis: Okay, what do you want to talk with me about?
Ms. Green: Well, it's Trevor.
Dr. Balis: Yes?
Ms. Green: Well, I think I want him off the case.
Dr. Balis: Really? Why?
Ms. Green: Well, it's sort of personal.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: This Tuesday, we went out again as a couple. We've done about six outings so far.
Dr. Balis: Hmm. And what was different about Tuesday?
Ms. Green: We sort of played together.
Dr. Balis: I see.
Ms. Green: It was all part of...well, you know.
Dr. Balis: It was part of your undercover work?
Ms. Green: Exactly.
Dr. Balis: I see.
Ms. Green: We've never actually done it before. We've talked about it. We've talked about it quite a lot, actually. But it was always just talk.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: But last Tuesday, we were at this pretty small gathering. I kept hoping more people would show up, but there was just seven of us.
Dr. Balis: Go on.
Ms. Green: And Gray was there.
Dr. Balis: I see. Was Kathy there as well?
Ms. Green: No, he came alone.
Dr. Balis: Did he approach you?
Ms. Green: He asked Trevor's permission to play with me.
Dr. Balis: I see. And?
Ms. Green: Oh, Trevor said no, of course.
Dr. Balis: Good.
Ms. Green: But it was very awkward--there were so few of us. And everyone just expected us to play together. Before, we were part of a crowd, and it was okay just to watch. But there...we had to do it, or it would have looked very strange.
Dr. Balis: Why didn't you just leave?
Ms. Green: I wanted to. But when Gray came in, we just couldn't do it. It's like he challenged us.
Dr. Balis: Hmm. And was Trevor okay with that?
Ms. Green: I don't know. We haven't really spoken since then. I think he was uncomfortable...sorry about it.
Dr. Balis: Was he uncomfortable or sorry?
Ms. Green: I don't know!
Dr. Balis: It's okay, Anna. Just tell me what happened.
Ms. Green: And Gray watched the whole thing, every move. I could feel his eyes on me, and it was more...it was more intense than the pain from the whip.
Dr. Balis: Trevor actually whipped you?
Ms. Green: He didn't do it very hard. He made a lot of noise, but he hardly touched me. At one point, Gray offered to even give him some pointers.
Dr. Balis: And?
Ms. Green: Gray said...I mean Trevor said that I was having my period and I wasn't feeling very well. But it was so...so...I feel like...
Dr. Balis: What is the strongest impression you have of that evening?
Ms. Green: I...I think I...
Dr. Balis: It was positive, wasn't it? Was it positive or negative?
Ms. Green: It's sort of both.
Dr. Balis: Did you like what Trevor did to you? Is that why you want him off the case?
Ms. Green: I liked the combination. I liked being watched by Gray while Trevor tied me up and moved the whip over my body. At first, he just moved it, just touched me with it. He only hit me a few times and not very hard. I don't even have any marks on my back.
Dr. Balis: That's good.
Ms. Green: And while he was moving the whip, he stood right next to me, real close. He told me that he was going to be very gentle, he wasn't going to really hurt me. He kept saying, "It's okay. It's going to be okay. Just relax." It was as if he was trying to hypnotize me. But it was Gray who made me freeze the way I did. It was as if his gaze made me paralyzed. My legs got all soft and cottony, they wouldn't support my weight. I had this harness on, and I felt literally suspended in the air.
Dr. Balis: Were you scared?
Ms. Green: I think I was terrified.
Dr. Balis: You think?
Ms. Green: I was also incredibly turned on, Doctor. And I knew that Trevor could tell. At one point, I looked at the whip, and it was wet.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: It was over very quick, but it felt like time stood still. I watched the rings on Gray's cock. He's a very large man, Doctor.
Dr. Balis: You've mentioned that before.
Ms. Green: It was very big. Trevor was impressed, too. He never actually saw him get hard before. It was like a nightmare, Doctor. If I had a nightmare, it would be like this. The room was spinning. There was not enough air--everyone was breathing too much. I was so turned on, it hurt. And it was such a long time since...oh, Doctor, how am I going to face Trevor again?
Dr. Balis: Why are you so worried about Trevor?
Ms. Green: We have a business relationship...
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: And now the boundaries sort of blurred. I don't want him to get any ideas. I was so rude to him when we were in the car going home. He left me all these messages. He even sent flowers. I threw them out, of course.
Dr. Balis: Of course.
Ms. Green: I can't work with him again, Doctor Balis. We'll both just think about that time. But nothing really happened, see?
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: Nothing. It was just the atmosphere. And Gray. And I didn't really have any for some time. And...and...what am I going to do, Doctor?
Dr. Balis: I think you should just relax. I think you might be thinking that it's worse than it really is.
Ms. Green: Worse?
Dr. Balis: Give yourself some time, and then talk with Trevor. He might see the whole thing very differently than you do. Are you supposed to be working with him again soon?
Ms. Green: No, I'm off until after Thanksgiving.
Dr. Balis: Good. That will give you some time to put all of this in perspective. Are you going to see your parents?
Ms. Green: Yes. I'm driving up there next Wednesday night and staying through the weekend.
Dr. Balis: Good. And if you still feel very uncomfortable working with Trevor, you can get yourself off the case. I'll help you, okay?
Ms. Green: You mean I should quit instead of him?
Dr. Balis: I think Trevor might have done enough to establish himself in the community by now. I think it's time for you to resume your normal life.
Ms. Green: Hmm. Okay. What about Kathy?
Dr. Balis: I think she'll be okay. It's you I'm worried about.
Ms. Green: Okay.
Dr. Balis: Look, I've got to go now. I have a dinner engagement in ten minutes, and I still need to go home first.
Ms. Green: Oh, I'm so sorry, Doctor. I didn't mean to keep you on the phone for so long.
Dr. Balis: That's okay. You can call me again, if you need to talk about this. Okay?
Ms. Green: Thank you. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
Dr. Balis: Thank you, Anna, you too. I'll see you in two weeks.
Ms. Green: Okay. Goodbye, Doctor.
Dr. Balis: Goodbye.
