Transcript of 8th Session between Charles Balis, M.D. and Ms. Anna Green, Thursday, August 22, 1996 at 4 pm.

Ms. Green: Hello, Doctor.
Dr. Balis: Hello, Ms. Green. You're looking very well today. Please sit down. How was your week?
Ms. Green: I'm glad you noticed, Doctor. I had an interesting week.
Dr. Balis: Really? Would you like to talk about it?
Ms. Green: Yes, actually I would. I told you we were working on this great project the last few month, didn't I?
Dr. Balis: No, I don't think so.
Ms. Green: Well, we have been developing this sci-fi game...I guess it's okay to talk to you about it, right? You are part of the company sort of.
Dr. Balis: Our sessions are private. You know that.
Ms. Green: Well, it's still a secret. In any case, the game has two components--the CD-Rom and the Internet part. We took one of the TV shows and used their story and characters to create this virtual environment on the CD-Rom. And the Internet team designed a web site that interconnects with this environment. At some point a visitor to the site could become a settler in this world and help colonize it. It is really cool!
Dr. Balis: Sounds fascinating. So you've been working on this project as a programmer?
Ms. Green: Yes. I mean my whole team has been working on it. But the cool part is that some of the visuals were shot in LA and Monday I got to go to the studios there and watch. There were going to send Julian, our team leader, but he got sick and there was no one else available. I guess that sounds really bad, like I'm the last choice or something. But I don't care. I got to go. And I met all the actors and got to hang out on the set and..it was just was a lot of fun.
Dr. Balis: Was it just you who went?
Ms. Green: Oh, no. There were actually six of us from SII. Suzy McLaren was there. In fact, we shared a hotel room together. She turned out to be really nice and a lot of fun, you know? She knows everybody down there and she introduced me to people. We even went to a few parties. And at one of them I met this guy Tony. And he really liked me. He told me that he thought that I was the most attractive and interesting programmer he has ever met. And he offered to show me around and I agreed. And the second night I was there he drove me all around.
Dr. Balis: Sounds like you had a good time.
Ms. Green: It was wonderful. And Tony was so nice and understanding too. You know I told him the whole story about Bill during that evening. And he understood and couldn't believe that anyone would be so horrible and act so badly toward a pregnant woman and be so uncaring in general. We talked and drove on the street. And he told me that if it ever happened to him, he would never act like Bill. That he would be loving and supportive. I can't explain it really, Doctor, but he was saying this and it was as if he knew just what to say to make me feel better. He even made me laugh. And then he asked if he could kiss me. Can you believe that?
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: I mean, he was so concerned for my feeling that he didn't want to hurt me by telling me that he liked me. He thought it would be really inappropriate given the situation. I mean, me telling him about Bill and stuff. And he thought that I was so hurt already. But then he said that he liked me so much that he just had to tell me because I was leaving in two days and he might never see me again if he didn't say something now. You know, Doctor? He was really concerned for me but didn't want to lose me.
Dr. Balis: Hmm.
Ms. Green: So there we were at two thirty in the morning driving around. And there were still people and cars on the streets. And we would stop at a light and start to kiss until the light changed and people would honk at us so we would move. But we would just laugh and keep driving until the next light and then we would kiss again. And I felt like I could tell him the most intimate things, you know?
Dr. Balis: Like what?
Ms. Green: Oh, I told him that I was worried about my breasts, for example.
Dr. Balis: Worried medically? Physically?
Ms. Green: Yes, the way they look. When I get turned on, my nipples just become gigantic. I mean not just hard and erect. I mean abnormally big. Like an inch long. I find it embarrassing, you know? People can tell even when I'm wearing clothes.
Dr. Balis: How did Tony react to your disclosure?
Ms. Green: He was wonderful. He said that he had an abnormality too. His...you know? Well, it's crooked. I mean when it's hard, it sort of leans to one side. I mean, I don't think that it is a big deal, you know? I thought it was attractive anyway.
Dr. Balis: So he showed you?
Ms. Green: Well, we were driving around and kissing and stuff. And I told him about the nipple thing. And he said that he would like to see that. And I said that he should drive into the light and he could. I guess I was really turned on by then. So he did. And he touched me and said that he thought that it was beautiful and that I had nothing to worry about. He said that if I didn't mind that he would like to touch them. So he did. But there were all these cars and people started to shout at us. You know, they were funny. They were sort of urging us on. And we were both laughing and he suggested that we go to his place where it would be more private and we could talk.
Dr. Balis: Did you go?
Ms. Green: Yes. He was sharing this house right on the beach. And you know how they all are in LA?
Dr. Balis: What do you mean?
Ms. Green: Well, they are all into fitness and hot tubs and stuff. And this house had a deck on the roof with a hot tub. You could only get access to it through his roommate's bedroom. But we were able to sneak in. He was sleeping already. It was rather late.
Dr. Balis: You went past Tony's sleeping roommate to get to the outside deck with the hot tub?
Ms. Green: Yeah. We were real quiet and even took off our shoes.
Dr. Balis: So he never woke up?
Ms. Green: No. And then Tony was showing me the constellations.
Dr. Balis: I didn't think you can see too many stars in LA's skies.
Ms. Green: No, it was beautiful. I was expecting it to be smoggy and stuff, but it was clear and warm. I didn't care all that much anyway. I just liked how it all felt, you know? It was warm and romantic. And Tony was standing behind me holding me real close. And I could feel that he wanted me also. It was really exciting!
Dr. Balis: Did Tony ask you to make love to him?
Ms. Green: Actually, he never did. It was my idea. He was kissing my neck and touching my breasts but he wouldn't go any further. So I started to unbutton my shirt and I guided his hands inside and...before we knew it we were both naked. And we got into the hot tub so we had some cover in case Tony's roommate woke up. It was sort of exciting having him being so near and being in danger of having him walk in on us at any time, you know?
Dr. Balis: A feeling of danger often leads to arousal.
Ms. Green: Oh, I'm glad you understand. I sort of felt a little perverted, you know? But it was really exciting. I mean the whole situation was sort of dangerous.
Dr. Balis: What do you mean? Did you feel like you were in danger with Tony?
Ms. Green: Kind of. I didn't know him very well and I was alone technically in a strange city and...all that stuff, you know? Not that it really felt like he was going to kill me or anything. Just that there was this edge, you know?
Dr. Balis: I understand.
Ms. Green: Tony kept saying how he wanted to please me. But I wouldn't let him.
Dr. Balis: What do you mean?
Ms. Green: I just didn't want to let him touch me down there. I know it sounds strange. Here we were naked in a hot tub and I was touching him and he was kissing my nipples and stuff, but I just didn't feel it would be right if he did more, you know?
Dr. Balis: I'm not sure I understand.
Ms. Green: I wasn't ready to make love to him or let him get that close to me yet. It was great the way I was feeling. I mean, I was very turned on and all that. But that would have been too much.
Dr. Balis: So you just touched and kissed for a while?
Ms. Green: Well, we...I did a little more than that. I wanted to see him close, you know? I was curious how it was bent. And he was really sensitive about it. And I said that I actually thought that it was very sexy that way and I started to kiss him there and...well, it turned into more after a while. I told you that I really like that.
Dr. Balis: So you had oral sex with Tony?
Ms. Green: Yes. And he wanted to reciprocate. But I wouldn't let him. But it still felt really good. The hot tub was on and when I was doing it, I sort of positioned myself just right, you know? God, this is so embarrassing! But you understand, right?
Dr. Balis: No. I don't think so.
Ms. Green: The jets? You know, the hot tub jets? They can feel really good if...you know?
Dr. Balis: Yes, I think I understand.
Ms. Green: Well, it's been a long time since I came last and it felt really, really good! I forgot that it could be like this. With Bill...let's just say that it was a really long time since it felt good doing it with Bill. And I didn't tell you everything yet, Doctor.
Dr. Balis: Would you like to?
Ms. Green: Yes. We were all going to go home the following evening on the five o'clock flight from LA. But I decided to stay and fly out late at night so I could spend another evening with Tony. He was so happy to hear that I was staying.
Dr. Balis: So you only came home last night?
Ms. Green: Well, Tony took me on another drive. My flight was leaving at 12:00 AM, but we got so caught up that I missed it. So we just decided to spend the night together and Tony would get me to the airport by 6:00 AM so I could get back in time for work today. We didn't actually go to his place, but spent the night on the Santa Monica Beach instead. Tony made love to me four times last night. The last time, as we were doing it, a jogger was passing us by. It was really strange, you know? The sun was just about to come up and it was still pretty dark. We were lying on a stretch of grass next to the road and I was on top of him. And then this figure just passed us by. He even said "good morning" to us. Can you believe it? I'm sure he knew what we were doing.
Dr. Balis: Did this make you feel uncomfortable?
Ms. Green: Surprisingly not. It just felt unreal, you know? The whole thing--Tony, the beach, the sunrise, us making love, and this jogger. And then Tony drove me to the airport.
Dr. Balis: Are you planning to see Tony again?
Ms. Green: At the airport, when we were saying our goodbyes...everyone was staring at us...I told him that this was the best one-night stand I'd ever had. I was sure we would never see each other again. But Tony said that I was crazy to think that he was going to give me up just like that. He said that it's only a couple of hundred miles, anyway. I just couldn't believe he was saying it. I was sure, you know?
Dr. Balis: You didn't think that Tony would want to pursue a long distance relationship with you?
Ms. Green: I'm not even sure I want to. But when I got in at work this morning, he already had left a message for me. And then he called again and told me that he is pretending that we are having lunch together by talking to me on the phone. Isn't that romantic? Now I'm beginning to think that this might work out. You know? And just think how Bill would feel when he finds out. I bet he thought that I would never date again or something.
Dr. Balis: Well, I hope it works out the way you want it to.
Ms. Green: Thank you, Doctor. I really hope so too.
Dr. Balis: Well, we are out of time now. Sounds like you had a very eventful week. So let's continue our discussion next week. Okay?
Ms. Green: Sure, Doctor. It would be my pleasure.
Dr. Balis: Good. Our next session would be then a week from today, Thursday the 29th at 4 pm. Okay?
Ms. Green: Yes.I'll see you then, Doctor. Thank You. Goodbye.
Dr. Balis: Goodbye, Ms. Green.
