I'm not sure why everyone is agog about Real Audio. Other serial websites which feature Real Audio are not necessarily improved by it. The the audio quality is poor, and the actors who read the scripts often sound bored, and/or are boring especially if the story and characters aren't compelling in the first place.
One of the great things about The Company Therapist is that the format of the site allows the reader to use her imagination to determine how the characters would look and sound. The emphasis is on interesting characters and storylines, unlike other websites which emphasize graphics, high-tech gizmos, and little content. One of the biggest disappointments on the World Wide Web is the amount of bad writing that goes unchecked.
Putting the storylines into Real Audio format sounds labor-intensive and time-consuming; I would hate to see all that time and work devoted to yet another technological marvel instead of maintaining the quality of writing that distinguishes this website from so many others.
