I love Sue Grafton's alphabet murders. She has a wry sense of humor that I can appreciate. Her characters are simple in their principles, yet complex in their emotions. I devour her books.

Stephen King chills me like no one else. I have never been so absorbed by a book as I was the first time I read The Shining. It still amazes me that I'm afraid to turn off the light at night after reading that book.
