That's an interesting idea I haven't thought of.

I think the reason Anna sees Doctor Balis is that he is the one stable male relationship in her life outside of her family. It's not as much about treatment as it is about the telling of Anna's story. Although the Doctor did try to make Anna switch therapists and he tried giving her "A Sex Bill of Rights." I should probably come back to that in the near future. For now, I'm just making Anna's life miserable ;-)
